Summertime: Netflix’s summer romance straight from Italy

Netflix recently released the trailer for their upcoming Italian series titled Summertime.

The series will feature Coco Rebecca Edogamhe and Ludovico Tersigni in lead roles along with Andrea Lattanzi, Amanda Campana, Giovanni Maini, Alicia Ann Edogamhe and Thony.

Summertime will mark the debut of several of the cast members including Edogamhe, Campana and Maini.

The romantic drama will revolve around two young adults Summer (Edogamhe) and Ale (Tersigni) who fall in love during the summer season.

Set on the Adriatic Coast in Italy, Summertime will explore the relationship between two people who belong to different worlds.

The eight-episode long series will feature a blossoming love story against the scenic backdrop of Italy. The web series appears to be an aesthetic feast for the viewers.

Summertime is based on Federico Moccia’s book series, Tre metri sopra il cielo (Three Meters Above the Sky).

The original series has been directed by Lorenzo Sportiello and Francesco Lagi and produced by  Cattleya which is a part of ITV Studios.

According to Netflix, the original soundtrack has been composed by Giorgio Poi and features Francesca Michielin, Frah Quintale, Achille Lauro, Salmo, and Franco125, among others.

Summertime will premiere globally on the streaming platform on 29 April, 2020.
