‘Succession’, ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘The White Lotus’ get maximum Emmy nominations

The 74th Primetime Emmy Award nominations are out and HBO’s ‘Succession’ leads the pack with 25 nods to its name. Second in line is the Apple TV+ comedy drama, ‘Ted Lasso’ with 20 nominations followed by another HBO title — an anthology series ‘The White Lotus’ — also with 20 nominations.

Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ makes history as it becomes the first non-English language series to be nominated for an Emmy. It has received 14 nods including best drama, best actor (Lee Jung-jae), best supporting actor (Park Hae-soo and Oh Yeong-su), best supporting actress (Jung Ho-yeon) and guest actress (Lee You-mi), among others.

Shows like ‘Severance’, ‘Abbott Elementary’, ‘Ozark’, ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, ‘Inventing Anna’, ‘Euphoria’, ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘Yellowjackets’ are also among the nominees.

In addition, Chadwick Boseman receives a posthumous nomination for Marvel’s ‘What if…?’

Some more major nominations in various categories include Julia Garner (Inventing Anna and Ozark), Barack Obama (Our Great National Parks), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria and The White Lotus), Zendaya (Euphoria), Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus), Adam Scott (Severance), Reese Witherspoon (The Morning Show), Donald Glover (Atlanta), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Andrew Garfield (Under the Banner of Heaven), Oscar Isaac (Scenes From a Marriage) and Michael Keaton (Dopesick), and more.  

The 74th Primetime Emmys will be live on Monday, September 12, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
