Days after Ubisoft announced Netflix’s involvement in the live action version of Tom Clancy’s The Division, the streaming company has more gaming news from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

Director of Interactive Gaming for Netflix, Chris Lee, made huge announcements regarding new games to be released in the future.

Netflix is going to work with developer Next Games to produce a third mobile game based on its highly acclaimed original series: Stranger Things.

The game is expected to be released in 2020 and will follow the first Stranger Things: The Game released in 2017.

The upcoming Stranger Things 3: The Game was described by Netflix as “an adventure game that blends a distinctively retro art style with modern gameplay mechanics to deliver nostalgic fun with a fresh new twist.”

Playing as one of the characters from the show, the user will be tasked with solving puzzles and battling the Mind Flayer. Dave Pottinger, CEO of BonusXP, revealed that the game will feature old-school graphics.

Two of the characters from the game were revealed. Firstly, Max, who will have the ability to perform karate kicks and add fire damage to those kicks.

And Eleven, described as “the most powerful character in the game” as she will have a psychic push power.

Stranger Things 3: The Game will be available on 4, July 2019 on PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.

It is also the date season 3 premiers. Lee also mentioned that more Stranger Things updates will be coming to Fortnite in the future.
