‘Squid Game’ unseen footage revealed by Netflix

Netflix has released previously unseen footage from ‘Squid Game’ season 1 during its Korean edition of the TUDUM event.

The clip confirms the identity of The Front Man; Hwang In-ho, as revealed towards the end of season 1. Outside, a mysterious figure observes his house, which could be his brother Jun-ho.

If this takes place after the end of Squid Game, it suggests that In-ho has returned to his daily life, while Jun-ho survived after being shot by In-ho.

The Korean thriller series’ season 1 is the most-watched title on Netflix in the first 28 days after premiere, even surpassing the flagship series ‘Stranger Things’ season 4.

It recently swept six awards at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards. Hwang Dong-hyuk (outstanding directing for a drama series) and Lee Jung-jae (Emmy for outstanding actor in a drama series) became the first Asians and South Koreans to win in these categories.

The show has also spawned a reality spin-off series named ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’, which recently entered the final casting call phase.
