‘Squid Game’ wins 4 Emmy Awards, including ‘outstanding guest actress’

Netflix’s thrilling drama ‘Squid Game’ continues to win big even a year after its release. Its most recent laurels come in the form of four wins at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmys.

With this feat ‘Squid Game’ has also become the first ever non-English language series to win a Creative Arts Emmy. The categories it conquered included ‘stunt performance’, ‘production design’ and ‘visual effects’.

Furthermore, Lee You-mi created history by becoming the first Korean actor to win the Emmy for ‘outstanding guest actress’.

In addition, Netflix saw more success at the awards as ‘Stranger Things’ bagged five wins, including ‘prosthetic makeup’ and ‘music supervision’. Also, former US President Barack Obama won for narrating the series, ‘Our Great National Parks’.

Shows like ‘Arcane’ and ‘Love, Death + Robots’ were also among the winners. The mainline Emmy Awards ceremony is to be held next week.
