Shefali Shah took to Instagram to announce her next project, a web series titled Human, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar.
The National Award-winning actress posted a picture of the show’s script as she wrote: “New journey begins… excited, thrilled, anxious as I step into another character, far away from my comfort zone becoming her.”
The web series has been written by Mozez Singh, Ishani Banerjee, Stuti Nair and Aasif Moyal.
Singh, who is known for directing the musical drama Zubaan, has also written the screenplay while Darshan Prakaash and Arjun Bhandegoankar penned the dialogues.
Further, Human is being produced by Shah’s husband, Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The filmmaker has hit movies such as Namastey London (2007) and Singh is Kinng (2008) to his credit.
The husband and wife have also previously worked together on films like Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005), Kucch Luv Jaisaa (2011) and Commando 2: The Black Money Trail (2017).
Human marks Shefali Shah’s second OTT project, after she made her digital debut with Netflix’s Delhi Crime. The crime show bagged the Best Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards 2020, becoming the first Indian show to win an Emmy.
