Shahid Kapoor signs ₹100 crore deal with Netflix: Reports

Shahid Kapoor has signed a huge ₹100 crore deal with Netflix to be part of several movies and web series, according to reports.

A source told Pinkvilla:

“Shahid has been locked for several projects for Netflix. He has signed a huge deal to the tune of 100 crore with the digital streaming platform. Shahid will not only make his digital debut with a Netflix film or series but he will also be toplining different projects. 

“One of them happens to be a concept-driven fiction series, details of which are under wraps as of now. He has already signed on the dotted line for the same.”

News of him starring in an action-thriller film for Netflix titled ‘Operation Cactus’ has also been making the rounds.

If the reports are accurate, Kapoor would follow Bollywood actors such as Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi and Kiara Advani, among others, who opted for digital projects as well.

Katrina Kaif is also set to star in a superhero film for Netflix, while Priyanka Chopra will lead the platform’s adaptation of the Arvind Adiga novel ‘The White Tiger’ alongside Rajkummar Rao.

Diljit Dosanjh will also reportedly headline a film helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar for the streaming giant.
