Sex Education season 2 trailer: Complications galore

Netflix has released the trailer for season 2 of its popular teenage sex comedy ‘Sex Education’.

The show premiered exactly one year ago and proved to be one of the biggest hits for the streaming platform in 2019.

It took just one month for the new season to be announced:

Official synopsis for the show reads: “Sex Education is about Otis Milburn, a socially awkward high school student who lives with his sex therapist mother, Jean. In season 1 Otis and his friend Maeve Wiley set-up a sex clinic at school to capitalise on his intuitive talent for sex advice.”

The trailer for season 2 shows the return of all the main characters along with newfound complications which were hinted during the climax of the first season.

Maeve (Emma Mackey) finally reciprocates Otis’s (Asa Butterfield) feelings, but he’s now dating Ola (Patricia Allison).

During the course of the trailer, Maeve’s boyfriend in season 1, Jackson (Kedar Williams Stirling), reveals to Otis that Maeve dumped him because she’s in love with the latter.

There’s also Ola’s Dad being involved with Otis’ mom, his gay best friend Eric Effoing (Ncuti Gatwa) being asked out, and a chlamydia outbreak in school. A lot will happen over the eight episodes.
