Sex Education season 2 begins filming, Netflix gives behind-the-scenes glimpse

Netflix officially announced on Twitter that the season 2 of popular Netflix series Sex Education has now begun filming.

It also revealed some behind-the-scenes photos and footage of the cast reading scripts.

Alistair Petrie, who plays headmaster Mr. Groff, told Hello! magazine: “We have done a read through, which was brilliant, really funny and that same sort of sense of humanity that the show has. I generally loved doing it and watching it. We start shooting in about four weeks and the machine happily rolls on.”

The season 1 of the British show revolved around Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), whose mother, Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson), is a sex therapist.

Otis finds that he, himself, has a talent for sex therapy and joins hands with Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) to run a business of helping students in his school with sex issues.

His best friend, Eric Effoing (Ncuti Gatwa), Aimee Gibbs (Aimee Lou Wood), Adam Groff (Connor Swindells) and Jackson Marchetti (Kedar Williams-Stirling) also play important roles in the narrative.

The show enjoyed widespread popularity among audiences for its unabashed content and received decent reviews from critics. It is rated 8.4 on IMDb and 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
