Severance wins 2 Emmy Awards for Apple TV+

Apple TV+ bagged a total of five wins at the 74th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards out of a total of 34 nominations. The thrilling office drama ‘Severance’ led the pack with two wins.

The show raked in an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Main Title Design’ and ‘Outstanding Music Composition for a Series’. The show’s’ music has been composed by Theodore Shapiro.

‘Severance’ follows the workings of a corporation known as Lumon industries which uses the titular medical procedure to segregate the non-office memories of some of their employees from their in-office ones.

Things take a dark turn when one of the severed employees, Mark Scout (Adam Scott), discovers a brewing conspiracy.

In addition, Apple TV+ also saw success with its musical comedy ‘Schmigadoon!’ which won the ‘Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics’ Emmy for ‘Corn Puddin’ by Cinco Paul.

The final two wins went to ‘Home Before Dark’ and ‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series’ which bagged the ‘Outstanding Motion Design’ and ‘Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series’ awards respectively.

Furthermore, Apple TV+ is preparing for a huge night at the Primetime Emmy Awards which will be held on September 12. The streamer has received nominations across 52 categories among 13 originals projects.
