Selena Gomez to create quarantine cooking series for HBO Max

HBO Max has announced an unscripted 10-minute episode series with Selena Gomez. The actress/singer will show off her cooking skills during quarantine in the upcoming series.

Gomez will be starring as well as executively producing the show along with Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman.

The series is set to release this summer. Gomez will be connected with a new master chef in every episode of the show.

As per the official description of the show, this is how things will unfold:

In each episode of this unapologetically authentic cook along, Selena will be joined remotely by a different master chef. Together, they’ll tackle cuisines of every variety, share invaluable tips and tricks, and deal with everything from smoking ovens to missing ingredients.

Every episode will also highlight a food related charity to help those who are in need. It will also encourage audiences to cook along with the star as she tries her hand at making delicious meals while being stuck at home.

This project marks Gomez’s second venture in the digital world as she previously played executive producer for Netflix’s Living Undocumented.

Talking about the upcoming series, the actress stated:

“I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef. I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”

HBO Max’s official handle took to Instagram to make the announcement:
