Netflix has released the trailer and poster for the part 2 of its popular India sports series ‘Selection Day’, with all episodes streaming April 19.
The show revolves around Manju (Mohammad Samad) and Radha (Yash Dholye) Kumar, two brothers brought to Mumbai from their village by their strict father (Rajesh Tailang) who yearns to make them professional cricket players, sometimes even going overboard.
While Radha is invested in his father’s idea, Manju’s true interest lies in studying even though he reluctantly continues playing cricket and part 2 will explore more of that.
Produced by renowned film actor Anil Kapoor and directed by Udayan Prasad, Selection Day is based on Arvind Adiga’s best-selling book with the same name. The cast also includes Mahesh Manjrekar, Shiv Pandit and Ratna Pathak Shah.
