Second season of ‘Bridgerton’ announced by Netflix

Makers of Bridgerton have announced that a second season is in the works. This news comes after the first season has been a massive hit among the audience. It was released on December 25, 2020.

Created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes, the series is based on Julia Quinn’s novel set in Regency-era London. The series and the book showcase the competitive nature of wealthy people in an upper class society.

‘Bridgerton’ is a period drama centring around the Bridgerton family: Violet, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton; her four sons, Anthony, Benedict, Colin and Gregory, and her four daughters, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca and Hyacinth.

The eight-episode season 1 was an instant hit among the audience due to the impeccable acting and chemistry of the leading actors’ Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page.

The streaming platform released a short clip consisting clippings from season 1 with the caption, “Season 2 is coming” at the end.
