Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney respond to ‘Ted Lasso’ dig

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have comically responded to a particular scene from the Apple TV+ series ‘Ted Lasso’.

The scene mentions the fact that the two are owners of the British football club Wrexham AFC, with Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift) joking about it. He says that he hasn’t replied to an inquiry by the club because he “can’t tell if them buying the club is a joke or not”.

Taking ‘offence’ at the commitment coming into question, Reynolds and McElhenney took matters to fictional court.

At this point, the only possible way to soothe the two would be sending “2 LARGE boxes of Ted Lasso’s biscuits” to AFC Wrexham’s stadium.

Apple TV+ duly responded:

“We like our high-profile celebrity arbitration just like Roy Kent: hard packaging on the outside, but soft goodness on the inside. Biscuits are on their way.”

McElhenney is one of the leads in the Apple series ‘Mythic Quest’, described as the platform’s ‘high-quality programming’ in the notice. Reynolds will star in its upcoming Charles Dickens adaptation ‘A Christmas Carol’.

The pair of Hollywood actors took ownership of the club earlier this year and plan to get it back to the EFL as soon as possible.

Could AFC Richmond v/s Wrexham AFC be on the cards in the series?
