Rohit Shetty’s Prime Video series ‘Indian Police Force’ led by Sidharth Malhotra

Amazon Prime Video has announced the digital debut of director Rohit Shetty with an action series titled ‘Indian Police Force’.

The eight-episode series, which has started filming, will star Sidharth Malhotra in the lead.

The announcement clip features Shetty, who commences the production, along with the entry of Malhotra and his first look as a cop.

It is being touted as the “biggest action series ever made in India” by the platform.

The director is known for building a cop universe through theatrical films such as Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi.

Indian Police Force will mark his first-ever series, as well as the first digital exclusive release.

Malhotra received plaudits last year for playing the army officer, Vikram Batra, in the film Shershaah, which, due to the lockdown, streamed on Prime Video directly.

This also marks the actor’s first series and the first title that was created specifically for digital.
