Rasika Dugal is all set to begin shooting for the second season of Out of Love, starting next month. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Aijaz Khan, the web series stars Dugal and Purab Kohli in the lead.
An iteration of the British drama series, Doctor Foster, the show chronicles the trappings of a marriage marred by deception and lies.
Dugal expressed excitement regarding her two-month-long upcoming shoot in Coonoor. The actress said that the second season will show her character, Dr. Meera Kapoor battle more challenges.
“I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the material of this season. I will be in Coonoor for two months for the shoot. After being holed up at home for so many months, I look forward to the beauty of the hills,” Duggal said in a statement.
The actress confessed that with “Out of Love”, she got the opportunity to play a part which was “driving the narrative of a series”.
“And to experience the rigours of a long shooting schedule where you are in almost every frame of the show. Being Dr. Meera Kapoor and attempting to experience the emotionally tumultuous ride that she is on throughout the season, is a journey that any actor would desire. And the appreciation from the awards and the audiences has been a huge bonus,” she added.
Recently the actress won the ContentAsia Award for Best Female Lead for her role as Dr Meera Kapoor in “Out of Love” season one. Earlier this year Dugal was seen alongside Kunal Khemu in the comedy, Lootcase, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar due to the coronavirus pandemic. She is currently awaiting the release of second season of Mirzapur and filmmaker Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy web series adaptation.
The first season of Out of Love is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
