Netflix has announced a new feature on its platform called Profile Transfer, which will allow the migration of profile data.
The feature lets users transfer “the personalized recommendations, viewing history, My List, saved games, and other settings” when they create a new membership.
Users will receive an email to notify them when the feature is available. The ‘transfer profile’ option will be accessible through the profile dropdown menu on the home page.
This comes after the platform announced a new ad-supported tier in 12 countries at different prices. The streaming service will be expecting a number of new memberships to be created as a result and the profile transfer feature aims to smoothen the process.
