Priyanshu Painyuli has joined the cast for the season two of Amazon Prime Video’s popular web series Mirzapur.
The actor had an extensive shooting schedule and is set to play a pivotal part in the second instalment’s narrative.
According to sources, the character will extend to season 3.
Mirzapur season 1 revolved around Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Bablu (Vikrant Massey) Pandit, two brothers who get sucked into the world of crime.
Painyuli has been a big presence in the streaming world recently. He played the Bangladeshi drug lord Amir Asif in Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction, which is on course to becoming Netflix’s most-viewed film of all time.
He also played the lead in Upstarts, a Netflix original film revolving around the journey of startups and the struggles involved.
He was also seen in the Bollywood film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
