Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden to unite in Russo Brothers series with Amazon

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden have been selected as leads for Russo Brother’s upcoming series with Amazon. The announcement was made by the company at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

Originally made public in July 2018, the show is titled “Citadel”. The plot still hasn’t been revealed yet. However, seeing as it’s coming from the Russo Brothers themselves we can expect it to be something exciting.

Amazon also announced a local language production of the franchise in addition to the already declared versions of Italy and India. Chopra and Madden will star in the U.S. version of the show with other cast members starring in other versions.

The Indian version of Citadel will be produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. with collaboration with Amazon Studios.

The former Miss World and reigning Bollywood Star made her Hollywood debut on the ABC drama series ‘Quantico’. Priyanka is also working on a reality series based on the Indian pre-wedding event ‘sangeet’ with her husband Nick Jonas.

Madden has also recently won a Golden Globe for his role in the BBC One Series “Bodyguard”. The star is also known for his work in “1917”, “Game of Thrones” and “Rocketman”.

The writers will be Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg through their production company ‘Midnight Radio’. The group has previously worked on films and series such as ‘MI: Ghost Protocol’, ‘October Road’ and ‘Limetown’.

The executive producers of Citadel with include Joe and Anthony Russo with Mike Larocca and Patrick Moran. This is the first overall TV deal of the groups’ recently founded independent studio ‘AGBO’.
