Prime Video’s ‘Sherni’ throws light on man-wildlife conflict

Amazon Prime Video has launched the teaser of ‘Sherni’, an Amazon Original movie featuring Vidya Balan in the lead. The movie will follow an Indian Forest Service Officer’s efforts to bridge the gap between humans and animals.

The short teaser gives a glimpse of Balan walking across the vast grassland and forest landscapes. The voiceover in the background narrates, “No matter how dense the forest is, the tigress always finds her way.”

It hints towards the similarities between the nature of a tigress and the character played by the ‘Shakuntala Devi’ actress.

Directed by Amit Masurkar, the star cast of ‘Sherni’ also includes Vijay Raaz, Neeraj Kabi, Ila Arun, Sharat Saxena, Brijendra Kala.

Written by Aastha Tiku, the movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Amit Masurkar under the banners Abundantia Entertainment and T-Series.

The release date of the film is still under wraps. The official trailer will launch on June 2, 2021.
