ZEE5’s latest original movie Posham Pa is all set to tell the chilling story of India’s first female serial killer duo who were awarded death penalty.

The film is based on true events and stars Sayani Gupta and Ragini Khanna as sisters.
The cast is joined by Mahie Gill, who is seen as Prajakta Deshpande – a mentally disturbed mother who encourages her girls to commit gruesome crimes in the trailer.
Additionally, Made in Heaven star Shivani Raghuvanshi will play a documentarian alongside Imaad Shah.
Imaad is the son of Bollywood actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah. He will be making his digital debut with Posham Pa. The thrilling trailer also shows Nikhat Ismail (Raghuvanshi) and Gundeep Singh Saggar (Shah) trying to uncover the truth.
The real story that the film is based on has been researched by senior journalist Praful Shah.
Gupta shared a photo of her character Regha Sathe saying that this was “the most challenging” role she played so far. She claimed that it is a “story that needs to be told” and to understand it “empathy is key”.
Gupta is not a new face in the world of web entertainment. She is well known for her role as Damini in the Amazon Prime Original Four More Shots Please!
Posham Pa is directed by Bengali director Suman Mukhopadhyay. He is best known for his film Herbert, for which he won a National Film Award.
Mukhopadhyay has worked with ZEE5 before to direct Parchayee: Ghost Stories by Ruskin Bond. The show starred well-known actors from the digital world such as Sumeet Vyas and Amol Parashar.
