The Viral Fever (TVF) has revealed its 2021 content slate via a YouTube video titled, ‘Shows From The House Of TVF | 2021‘. The video confirmed that a massive amount of fan-favourite originals are returning for a new outing and the biggest surprise in that list was a tease for the second season of 2015’s ‘Pitchers’.
‘Pitchers’ season 1 was released in 2015 and was met with immense praise and critical acclaim. The series, developed by Arunabh Kumar and Biswapati Sarkar, revolves around four friends who quit their respective jobs to start their own company among India’s ever expanding plethora of start-ups.
The 2021 content reveal confirmed the return of great TVF series like ‘Kota Factory’, ‘Girls Hostel’, ‘Hostel Daze’, and more. However, the icing on the cake was the final clip that saw the leading cast of ‘Pitchers’ — Naveen Kasturia, Arunabh Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, and Abhay Mahajan — crossing a street in a straight line, recreating The Beatles’ Abbey Road picture moment.
The reveal was a welcome one since fans have been eagerly waiting for over five years for an update on the beloved show. A teaser was released in December 2016 that announced the show’s return in 2017 but it was likely stalled due to alleged sexual assault charges against Arunabh Kumar.
Four years later, and it finally seems that TVF has figured out the perfect release plan for the sequel to ‘Pitchers’.
