Prime Video has announced that season 2 of its comedy series ‘Panchayat’ will stream on the platform from May 20.
The announcement clip shows Abhishek (Jitendra Kumar), who is still struggling with village life. He hears a sound, only to encounter the poster of Panchayat season 2 with the release date.
Season 1 came out in 2020 and received generally positive reviews from viewers as well as critics.
The series revolves around the aforementioned Abhishek, who gets a job as the Panchayat secretary of a remote village named Phulera in Utter Pradesh.
Not considering it a job of his calibre, he begins studying for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to find a suitable IIM for his MBA.
Apart from Kumar, the cast includes Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Raghuvir Yadav, Biswapati Sarkar and Faisal Malik in key roles.
