One Night in Miami on Amazon Prime Video: Regina King’s directorial debut

Amazon Prime Video recently unveiled the trailer for ‘One Night in Miami’. Academy Award winning actor Regina King has debuted as director with this film.

The film tells the story of four historically important figures, Malcom X, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke, coming together one night to discuss the future of black men in the Civil Rights movement.

Just like the title suggests, this meeting takes place in a hotel in Miami in February 1964. The four celebrate Ali’s surprise title win over Sonny Liston, in this fictionalized meeting.

The film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree, Aldis Hodge, and Leslie Odom Jr. in the lead roles, with Joaquina Kalukango, Nicolette Robinson, Beau Bridges, and Lance Reddick in supporting roles.

One Night in Miami was originally released on December 25 last year, but is ready to stream on Amazon Prime Video from January 15.
