New Korean series Hellbound to be produced by Netflix

Netflix has announced that it will produce a new Korean original series with the working title ‘Hellbound’.

It will be directed by Yeon Sang-ho, best known for helming the box-office hit Train to Busan.

The series revolves around supernatural being suddenly appearing and condemning people to hell. To add to the mayhem, a religious group interprets this as the will of the Gods.

What follows is an intense fight for survival for the people as they tussle with the utter chaos engulfing their world.

Hellbound was originally published as a webtoon, but will now get globally released by Netflix as its series.

The Korean show will be a collaboration between Yeon Sang-ho and illustrator Choi Gyu-seok, whose webtoon Songgot was adapted as a show in 2015.

Produced by Lezhin Studio, Hellbound will be exclusively released on Netflix.
