Netflix’s Indian coming-of-age romantic web series ‘Mismatched’ has confirmed that season 2 shooting has started. The production banner, RSVP, took to social media to announce the news.
Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Rannvijay Singha, Muskkaan Jaferi, Devyani Shorey, Taaruk Raina, Vihaan Samat, Abhinav Sharma and Vidya Malavade star in Mismatched, which is based on Sandhya Menon’s 2017 novel, ‘When Dimple Met Rishi’.
Mismatched tells the story of Rishi (Saraf), a typical romantic who falls in love with Dimple (Koli), a tech-enthusiast, and joins the same app-development course to sweep her off her feet.
Season one finishes with Dimple devoting herself to her app before a dramatic gaming battle with Anmol, in which several betrayals put relationships, particularly Dimple and Rishi’s, in jeopardy.
It is directed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari. Khurana also acts as the series showrunner. The first season of the series was written by Gazal Dhaliwal.
The first season aired on 20 November 2020 and was renewed within the same month. The new season was first announced by Netflix on March 3, as part of their new slate of Indian original content.
