Netflix’s ‘Love Alarm’ renewed for a second season

Netflix Korea has officially made an announcement confirming the production of Season 2 of its original drama series Love Alarm.

The announcement was made by the cast comprising Radio Romance alum, Kim So-hyun, The Liar and his Lover‘s Song Kang and Jung Ga-ram from The Poet and the Boy.

The Swoon, Netflix’s official YouTube channel for Asian and Korean dramas, also posted the announcement:

The first season debuted on Netflix on August 22, 2019, and was a smashing hit among K-drama lovers. Naturally, the anticipation for season 2 had been at an all-time high prior to the long-awaited announcement.

Love Alarm, based on a popular web-toon of the same name, is about finding people within their vicinity, who have romantic feelings for each through means of an app, aptly named ‘Love Alarm’.

The algorithm is designed in a way that it notifies the user of the person that is crushing on them, when they are within a 10 meter radius.
