The first season debuted on Netflix on August 22, 2019, and was a smashing hit among K-drama lovers. Naturally, the anticipation for season 2 had been at an all-time high prior to the long-awaited announcement.

Love Alarm, based on a popular web-toon of the same name, is about finding people within their vicinity, who have romantic feelings for each through means of an app, aptly named ‘Love Alarm’.

The algorithm is designed in a way that it notifies the user of the person that is crushing on them, when they are within a 10 meter radius.

It gains popularity very quickly becoming a wide phenomenon, when everyone seems to download it onto their hand-phones and use it religiously.

While everyone is busy endorsing the app and taking full advantage of its specs, Kim Jo-jo (Kim So-hyun) is yet to download the most-talked-about app.

During the course of the show, however, she comes to face a love triangle involving Hwang Sun-oh (Song Kang), the guy she begins to develop feelings for and Hye-young (Jung Ga-ram), the guy that has been crushing on her.
