Directed by actor-filmmaker Helena Bergström, ‘Dancing Queens’ is set to premiere on Netflix on June 3, 2021. The platform released the teaser of the Swedish musical drama featuring Molly Nutley in the lead role.
The film’s story revolves around a young girl who dares to fulfil her dream of becoming a dancer. She joins a drag club and disguises herself as a man to unleash her inner dancing queen.
The Swedish film also stars Marie Göranzon, Claes Malmberg, Christopher Wollte, Rakel Wärmlände, Ann Westin, Max Ulveson, Mattias Nordkvist, Razmus Nyström, André Christenson, Fredrik Quinones and Emil Almén.
Produced under the banner Sweetwater productions by Joana Sorobetea, ‘Dancing Queens’ is executively produced by Colin Nutley and Mikael Bergkvist.
