One of the most anticipated original web films of the year has finally gotten an update.
Netflix revealed the official poster for their upcoming project Extraction via a tweet recently. The action film is led by Chris Hemsworth who plays Tyler Rake, a black market mercenary.
The dark and intense poster has a serious looking Hemsworth in the forefront with a glimpse of a shootout behind him. The film boasts of some high octane action sequences and a stellar star cast. According to the official description by Netflix:
A hardened mercenary’s mission becomes a soul-searching race to survive when he’s sent into Bangladesh to rescue a drug lord’s kidnapped son.
Synopsis
Extraction will also mark the Hollywood debut for Indian actor Randeep Hooda. He talked about his character in the film last month and also had a picture of his look released on social media:
The film has been directed by Sam Hargrave who is also making his directorial debut with Extraction. He is originally a stunt coordinator and has worked as a stunt double for Chris Evans’ Captain America in various Marvel films.
Other members of the cast include David Harbour, Derek Luke, Golshifteh Farahani and Rudhraksh Jaiswal among others.
The screenplay has been written by one half of the Russo Brothers, Joe Russo. Extraction will premier on Netflix on 24 April.
