Anime series ‘Pacific Rim: The Black’ to release on Netflix

Official trailer and first look of Netflix’s anime series Pacific Rim: The Black is out. It is a spinoff series from Guillermo Del Toro’s live action franchise.

Guillermo Del Toro in collaboration with Legendary launched the Pacific Rim franchise in 2013. The anime is created by Craig Kyle and the animation is handled by Polygon Pictures.

The upcoming series is expected to deliver a lot of action and fight scenes and is set to release on March 4.

Netflix also recently unveiled the new poster for the project on twitter which says, ‘Something dark, this way comes.’ Take a look here:

The official synopsis if the anime series says:

“There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.”
