Dark locust horror thriller ‘The Swarm’ to premiere on Netflix

Netflix has released the trailer of its upcoming French horror movie ‘The Swarm’. Post its release in Sitges Film Festival and French theatres last year, the movie will hit the streaming service on 6 August.

According to the official synopsis by Netflix, The Swarm centers on a single mother producing locusts as high protein food, but she faces trouble reproducing them until she discovers the locusts’ thirst for blood.

The locusts have a taste for blood, which can work as a game-changer for her business. In a part of the trailer, Virginie can even be seen pouring containers of blood. The trailer makes us question what her real intentions are to do with the locusts?
