Netflix’s ‘The Cuphead Show!’ introduces King Dice in new sneak peek

Netflix has released a new sneak peek for the upcoming video game animated series, ‘The Cuphead Show!’. It introduces the lead character, King Dice, who is set to be voiced by Wayne Brady.

A video game based on fictitious cartoons has spawned its own animated series. During Netflix’s Geeked Week presentation on Friday, a first look at ‘The Cuphead Show!’ was unveiled, promising more of the 1950s flair.

‘The Cuphead Show!’, which hails from Studio MDHR and is noted for its crazy boss brawls, hard gameplay, and notably its nostalgic hand-animated aesthetics, will expand on the game’s characters and the universe.

The comedic web series depicts the exploits of Cuphead, who is impetuous, and Mugman, who is cautious but easily misled. They’ve always had each other’s backs during their numerous exploits around their bizarre home of the Inkwell Isles.

Netflix Animation will produce the series, which will be executively produced by Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts). CJ Kettler will serve as executive producer for King Features, while Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, the developers of Cuphead, will serve as EPs for Studio MDHR. Cosmo Segurson is a co-executive producer on the film.

‘The Cuphead Show!’ is set to release on Netflix later this year.
