Netflix has announced a fresh slate of Thai films and series comprising six new titles. These will include comedies, thrillers and more, and according to the streamer, is its most diverse lineup till date in Thailand.
The first project is titled, ‘The Lost Lotteries’, which is a heist film, and will release on November 16. It follows five people trying desperately to retrieve their 30-million-baht (USD 800,000) winning tickets from an underworld gang.
The next film is a culinary drama shedding light on class disparity, titled, ‘Hunger’. It focuses on Aoy, a woman in her 20s who is offered to leave her family restaurant and join the team of a world renowned expert, Chef Paul.
Next, ‘Mon Rak Nak Pak’ dives deep into the lives of the crew of a traveling pharma-cinema troupe as they go on the road to spread the joy of live-dubbed movies. Meanwhile, they also have to overcome difficulties and deceits to achieve their dreams.
‘Analog Squad’ is a series that explores the emotional experiences of strangers pretending to be a family. These misfits are hired to fill in the gaps of estranged members in a broken extended family.
The fifth announced title is a series called ‘Delete’. It is a love triangle thriller that focuses on secrets and complications of relationships.
Finally, the last film in the list is a comedy, ‘The Murderer’. It follows a policeman trying to decipher if a British man killed his Thai in-laws. This is the first ever film that will be released in a Northeastern Thai dialect on the streamer.
