‘Shadow and Bone’ renewed for season 2 by Netflix

Netflix recently released a video announcing the renewal of the fantasy series ‘Shadow and Bone’ for season 2. The short clip featured the main cast of the web series, sharing their excitement of exploring the story further in the new season.

‘Shadow and Bone’ is an eight-part series based on the Grishaverse book series by Leigh Bardugo that premiered on April 23, 2021. According to Netflix Geeked, the first season of the web series was streamed by 55 million member households in the first 28 days.

The fantasy-drama series is created under the banners 21 Laps Entertainment (Stranger Things), Chronology and Loom Studios. Its main star cast includes Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux, Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Ben Barnes, Danielle Galligan, and Calahan Skogman.

Talking about the renewal, book author Leigh Bardugo said:

“There are so many places we’ve barely gotten to visit, and I can’t wait to introduce our audience to more of the saints, soldiers, thugs, thieves, princes, and privateers who make this world so much fun to explore.”

The platform has ordered a set of eight one-hour episodes for ‘Shadow and Bone’ season 2.
