Netflix confirms ‘Sex Education’ season 3 for September 2021

Netflix has revealed that the much awaited season 3 of its acclaimed teenage comedy-drama, ‘Sex Education’, will premiere on September 17, 2021. The show stars Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, Gillian Anderson, and Emma Mackey, among others.

The series, which first released in 2019, follows the story of Otis Milburn (Butterfield) as he starts running illegal sex therapy sessions at his school in collaboration with his classmate, Maeve Wiley (Mackey).

His skills, that are the result of watching his mother’s work as a professional sex therapist, start a revolution at his school, having an array of positive and negative consequences. Amidst all this are Otis’ own life struggles as he tries to get along with his mom, and falls head over heels for his partner in crime, Maeve.

The new stills showcase the beloved students of Moordale in uniforms which has raised a lot of questions, since the first two seasons featured the characters wearing regular clothes to school.

The show, since its release, has been praised for its depiction of otherwise hushed up topics related to sexual anatomy, orientation, and experiences, in a fun, responsible, and relatable way.

Netflix also released some behind the scenes pictures from ‘Sex Education’ season 3 on Twitter:

‘Sex Education’ also stars Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Aimee Lou Wood, Mimi Keene, Chaneil Kular, Simone Ashley, Alistair Petrie, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison, and Mikael Persbrandt in pivotal roles.
