‘Power Rangers Dino Fury’ season 2 to premiere on Netflix

Netflix has announced that the latest iteration of the kids action series, ‘Power Rangers Dino Fury’, will be streaming on the streamer in US households going forward. The platform has acquired distribution rights for the American-Japanese franchise.

The rights for distribution were previously owned by Hasbro and Entertainment One with the first season mainly airing on Nickelodeon in February 2021. Season 2 is set to premiere in the spring of 2022.

The latest season will include all new weapons, zords, vehicles and a few new characters. The first season featured Zayto (Red Ranger), Ollie (Blue Ranger), Izzy (Green Ranger), Javi (Black Ranger), Amelia (Pink Ranger), and the newest recruit, Aiyon (Gold Ranger).

The logline for season 2 states:

“The series will pick up right where season 1 left off, with the fate of Void Knight and Santaura revealed. Evil forces and influential villains will continue to disrupt the Dino Fury Rangers. Season 2 will also see Zayto and Aiyon discovering more about Rafkon, their home planet, the development of new and existing relationships, and the introduction of never-before-seen characters.”

This will be 29th season of the Power Rangers franchise overall with the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers launching all the way back in 1993. The cast of Dino Fury includes Russel Curry, Kainalu Moya, Tessa Rao, Chance Perez and Jordan T. Fite.
