Netflix rolls out ‘remove from row’ feature

Netflix has rolled out a new ‘remove from row’ feature that allows subscribers to remove titles from the ‘Continue Watching’ row.

The feature was introduced for iOS users on June 29 to allow users to control what appears on their homepage.

Prior to the feature, anything that users watched (even if it was for a couple of minutes), would appear on their ‘Continue Watching’ list.

The ‘remove from row’ feature can be accessed using the following steps for Mac and PC users:

  1. Click on ‘Account’ on the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Scroll down to ‘PROFILE & PARENTAL CONTROLS’.
  3. Click on ‘Viewing Activity’ to bring out a list of all the content you have accessed.
  4. Hover over the ? button on the extreme right which will show ‘Hide from viewing history’ button.

The streaming service will then alert users about taking up to 24 hours for the titles to disappear from their ‘Continue Watching’ rows.

The process is relatively simpler for iOS and Android mobile users as they only have to select the three dots next to title they want to clear out and select ‘Remove from row’ option from the drop down menu like the following:

Netflix has currently been creating a seamless experience for its users by not just rolling out new features but also content such as the final season of Ozark, The Old Guard, The Great Heist and the upcoming seasons of Never Have I Ever and Into The Night amongst others.
