Netflix renews Atypical for final season

Netflix has announced the renewal of Atypical for the fourth season; this is going to be the last season of the show.

Atypical is a coming of age comedy series. It is based on the life of Sam, played by Keir Gilchrist, who has autism spectrum disorder. 18-year-old Sam navigates the transition to adulthood as he tries to find love and independence.

The series is written and created by Robia Rashad. She expressed her excitement for the upcoming season and her gratitude towards the fans of the show. While talking about her future hopes, Rashad said:

It’s my hope that the legacy of ‘Atypical’ is that more unheard voices continue to be heard and that even after this series ends, we keep telling funny, emotional stories from underrepresented points of view.

The season announcement video promises to bring to the viewers laughter, tears, hugs and friendships one last time.

The final season will bring the stories of the various characters to an end. It will have 10 episodes and will be released in 2021.
