Netflix reveals release date and first look for ‘The Upshaws’ season 2

Season 2 of the family comedy ‘The Upshaws’ will be returning in 2 parts with Netflix announcing the release date for Part 1 along with a few stills from the season.

Part 1 of season 2 will release on 29 June with the release date for part 2 still being kept under wraps.

The series follows its titular working-class family through their lives in Indianapolis. In Season 2, Bennie will continue to have to contend with raising his children with both women, while under the watchful eye of sardonic sister-in-law Lucretia who is very rarely impressed.

The series stars Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Gabrielle Dennis, Khali Spraggins, Page Kennedy, Jermelle Simon and Journey Christine. Co-creator Wanda Sykes will be playing Lucretia in season 2.

Regina Y. Hicks is also credited as a creator while serving as executive producer along with Sykes, Epps, Niles Kirchner, and Page Hurwitz.

Season 2 of The Upshaws will run for eight half-hour episodes.
