Netflix acquires rights for Kotaro Isaka’s book ‘Seesaw Monster’

Netflix has acquired the feature rights for Kotaro Isaka’s book, ‘Seesaw Monster’. Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek Pinault are involved with the project to star as well as produce.

The two will be seen playing rivals forced to work together in this action comedy two-hander, according to the streamer. Further details have been kept under wraps by Netflix.

The screenplay will be written by Olivia Milch. The film will be produced by Akiva Goldsman and Gregory Lessans for Weed Road Pictures; Salma Hayek Pinault for Ventanarosa Productions; Anne Hathaway for Somewhere Pictures; Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada for CTB Inc.

Kotaro Isaka is most famous for writing ‘Maria Beetle’, which was adapted into 2022’s comedic thriller ‘Bullet Train’ starring Brad Pitt.
