Netflix announced winners in selective categories. Indian subscribers have grown to have the highest viewership on the platform.
With more and more Indians subscribing, Netflix revealed that more than 80% of the users watched at least one movie every week.
The growing popularity of Korean Culture in India creates a huge fanbase for K-Dramas. The viewing of Korean shows rose by 370% as compared to 2019.
International favourites ‘Dark’ and ‘Money Heist’ featured in Netflix’s daily “Top 10” lists for 95 days and 170 days respectively. Among Indian titles, ‘Jamtara’ stayed the longest in top 10.
Romantic films witnessed a jump of 250% in India since last year. Love Aaj Kal, Ginny Weds Sunny and Mismatched along with romantic films and series, and Guilty, Masaba Masaba, Bulbbul, She, Miss India and Never Have I Ever and Emily in Paris among others were loved, too.
