Netflix announces first Indian dating reality show ‘IRL: In Real Love’

Netflix India has announced its newest creation, ‘IRL: In Real Love’, a first of its kind Indian dating reality show, which promises to explore the premises of new matches, heartbreaks, and a prospect to see if love survives through it all.

Produced by content and brand communications studio Monozygotic, ‘IRL: In Real Love’ is set to be added to the list of fan-favourites.

With dating reality shows like Splitsvilla, Love School and Netflix’s very own, What the Love! with Karan Johar already complimenting the taste of Indian viewers, the newest addition has a platform to make its mark.

Following the announcement, Tanya Bami, Director, International Originals, Netflix India, said:

“We are excited to expand our offering in the reality genre with a distinctive dating format, IRL: In Real Love. The concept is a true reflection of the times we love and live in. The choices and conundrums we experience every day will be put to test in the show’s unique social experiment. We look forward to unravelling some extraordinary love stories on Netflix.”

The upcoming show will cater to the non-fiction palate of Indian viewers while also allowing them to be a part of the production itself. The rest of the details are yet to be revealed.
