Home Stories: Netflix’s anthology of quarantine tales

After Lust Stories and Ghost stories, Netflix India presents it’s third anthology series, ‘Home Stories‘. Based on four stories of lockdown life, the anthology is a YouTube original releasing on June 12. The streaming giant took to Instagram to reveal the poster.

Home Stories is a compilation of 4 short films, two comedies and two dramas. Encompassing a wide spectrum of themes, from an extended one-night-stand to a virtual Haldi ceremony, a vlog of a front-line smile-worker anf the trauma of a germaphobe afraid to venture out, the anthology brings about the various facets of quarantine life.

The four films, Out With It, Will You Be My Quarantine, Delivering Smiles, and Web Ne Bana Di Jodi, feature young talents of the industry, namely Arjun Mathur, Saba Azaad, Imaad Shah, Tanmay Dhanania, Veer Rajwant Singh and Apoorva Arora. 

Directed by Sahirr Sethi, Anubhuti Kashyap, Tanvi Gandhi and Ashwin Laxmi Narayan, the entire shooting for the films has been carried out on phones and laptops, without violating any lockdown guidelines. 

Home Stories is another addition to lockdown specific content being released by OTT platforms like A Viral Wedding, Metro Park: Quarantine edition, Bhalla calling Bhalla, Never Kiss Your Best Friend: Lockdown special, among others.
