Netflix documentary series ‘Explained’ to return with season 3

After successfully running for two seasons, the American documentary television series, ‘Explained’, is all set to return with a third season. It will premiere on Netflix on July 16.

Vox Media collaborated with Netflix to develop the show, which was released weekly. Created by Esra Klein, co-founder of Vox Media, and Joe Posner, the television series showcases a variety of fascinating topics ranging “from monarchies to mea culpas, pooches to plastic surgery.”

First premiered on Netflix on May 23, 2018, each episode of this “celebrity-narrated docuseries” ranged from 16 to 24 minutes, exploring a plethora of intriguing topics. The first season housed 20 episodes, while the second contained 10.

Ezra Klein, Kara Rozansky, Claire Gordon, Chad Mumm, Lisa Nishimura, Joe Posner, Jason Springnam-Koff, and Kate Townsend have all served as Executive Producers on the show.

Based on 6,146 user votes, IMDb has given ‘Explained’ an 8.1 out of 10 ratings.
