The phenomenon that is Sacred Games is just five days away from the air date of its second season. If the hype already was not enough, Netflix has released a new YouTube video titled, “What to Expect|Sacred Games S2”.
It has new snippets from the upcoming season which tease a much grander plot. It also includes a few comments by Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, Neeraj Ghaywan, Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Varun Grover.
Motwane revealed that Sartaj’s world is all about exploring Mumbai, whereas Gaitonde’s world goes to places like Kenya and South Africa this time around. “The story arcs have gone wilder,” added Kashyap.
“I shot with Anurag Kashyap abroad for the first time. I couldn’t believe it until we actually arrived there,” said Siddiqui. Grover gave a little introduction to the new characters who are going to be introduced this season.
These include Batya Ableman (Kalki Koechlin), KD Yadav (Amruta Subhash) and Shahid Khan (Ranvir Shorey). “There is going to be Guruji’s (Pankaj Tripathi) character which is going to be huge this season,” said Ghaywan.
Saif Ali Khan said that working on the Sacred Games’ second season was a very creative experience with some very bright people.
According to the makers, there is going to be everything that the viewers won’t expect and hopefully, it provokes, shocks and surprises them.
