Netflix’s ‘Blockbuster’ receives release date and first-look images

Netflix has announced the release date and revealed first-look pictures for its upcoming comedy series, ‘Blockbuster’. It is focused on the titular once-relevant video store franchise and will premiere on November 3.

The show comprises 10 episodes and stars Randall Park, Melissa Fumero, Tyler Alvarez, Madeleine Arthur, Olga Merediz, JB Smoove, and Kamaia Fairburn.

The first-look images feature the cast going about their days as Blockbuster employees:

According to the official synopsis, Timmy Yoon (Randall Park) is an old-school dreamer living in a 5G world. After realising that he is running the last Blockbuster Video in America, Timmy and his staff (including his long-time crush, Eliza (Melissa Fumero) give it their all to stay relevant in today’s digital age.

The only way they can survive is by reminding the community that alongside movies, they sell something big corporations can’t which is human bonds and connections.
