Netflix’s ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ sequel sees addition of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige

Netflix has announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige will join the returning Eddie Murphy in its upcoming film, ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley’.

The film is the fourth instalment in the titular franchise which saw the first three films release in 1984, 1987 and 1994 respectively.

It is a comedy that follows Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, a Detroit cop who goes to Beverly Hills, California to probe a crime, even though it is out of his jurisdiction.

This fourth film will be directed by Mark Molloy and will be written by Will Beall (Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Aquaman, Gangster Squad). A television series was initially planned to continue the story after the third film, however, due to various reasons CBS did not pick up the show after the pilot.

‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley’ is in production and no further details have been revealed.
