Netflix announces new deal with BOOM! Studios

The streaming giant Netflix has signed a first-look deal with BOOM! Studios for new live action and animated series.

BOOM! is responsible for famous comic book series like Lumberjanes, Something is Killing the Children, Once & Future, and Mouse Guard. These are all best-selling Eisner Award-winning comics.

The web series which will be developed through this deal will be overseen by BOOM! Studios CEO and Founder Ross Richie along with President of Development Stephen Christy as executive producers.

Netflix and BOOM! have already collaborated on upcoming film The Unsound. It has been directed by David F. Sandberg and is based on the graphic novel by Cullen Bunn and Jack T. Cole.

The studio also created a graphic novel series in 2019 which tied into Netflix original show The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
