Netflix has added ‘My Heroes Were Cowboys’ to its documentary slate. It explores the life of Robin Wiltshire and what motivated him to devote his life to the art of horse training.
The documentary is directed by Tyler Greco and produced by Barry Linen Motion Pictures & Dress Code.
It follows professional horse trainer and Australian immigrant Robin Wiltshire recounting his troubled childhood and how Hollywood Westerns helped him overcome it.
The official synopsis reads:
“Robin Wiltshire, an immigrant inspired by the iconography of the Hollywood western, finds meaning and redemption through the art of horse training.”
The film is all set to be released globally on the OTT platform on September 16, 2021.
